*After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. Even though you’ll be able to see and hear us during this live online event, we won’t be able to see or hear you—no need to change out of pajamas or hush a barking dog, come as you are! During the presentation, you are welcome to ask questions using the question-and-answer tool within Zoom Webinar.

Can’t join us live?

No problem! About a week after each café, we’ll post videos of each presentation to the video archive on our website and to our YouTube channel. We’ll share links on our Facebook and Twitter and in our Southwest Archaeology Today and This Month at Archaeology Southwest email newsletters.

About Archaeology Café

Presented by Archaeology Southwest, a nonprofit organization that explores and protects heritage places while honoring their diverse values, Archaeology Café is an informal forum that brings lifelong learners together with experts.

About this season:

Better for It: Research Conceived in Collaboration with Community

Welcome to the 2022–2023 season of the Archaeology Café, an eight-part series in which we explore the complexities of collaborative research.

One of Archaeology Southwest’s goals is co-creation and co-engagement with Indigenous nations and communities. Come along with us as we learn from this season’s presenters—experts who are conducting collaborative archaeological research that looks toward a more holistic understanding of the meanings and values of heritage.

Join us on the first Tuesday of each month from October through May to hear more about trust-building processes, crucial steps for creating and nurturing relationships, and lessons learned from minor or major stumbles. Gather with your fellow Archaeology Café community members over Zoom and be prepared to expand your thinking—we are!
