Dr. Danielle Phelps is Archaeology Southwest’s Development Director. She grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and received her Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Arizona. Her archaeological interests include Egyptology, geographic information systems, bioarchaeology, and material studies. Her archaeological work has taken her from outside the Valley of Kings in Egypt to the Caribbean island that inspired Robert Louis Steven’s Treasure Island. Her archaeological adventures have allowed her to gain wonderful friendships and develop lasting relationships with people all over the world. Danielle has worked in Development at other Tucson nonprofits and looks forward to getting to know all of Archaeology Southwest’s members and donors.
