A Summary of Archaeological Investigations in Sunset Park, Tucson, Arizona (TR1996-10)
Sunset Park, located at the corner of Alameda St. and Main Ave. in downtown Tucson, was built between 1904 and 1909 and lies over a portion of the Spanish/Mexican period Presidio. Archaeological work suggests that important cultural remains dating to the Spanish, Mexican, and American Territorial periods survive within the western portion of the Presidio area.
