– “Clovis First” Models Challeneged by New Paper in Science: The Clovis and their hunting technologies were not the first inhabitants of the New World, researchers write in the Feb. 23 issue of the journal Science, addressing a longstanding debate on the first New World humans.

– Southwest Indian Arts Fair Opens Tomorrow at the Arizona State Museum (Tucson): Meet 200 of the most renowned Native artists. – Report from the Leupp Kiln Conference Available On-Line: The Leupp Kiln Conference is an annual gathering of archaeologists, potters and other interested folks dedicated to firing replica pottery and gathering clays to make more pots.
