Archaeology Making the News – A Service of the Center for Desert Archaeology
-Anasazi Heritage Center Reopens (Cortez): The U.S. Bureau of Land Management Anasazi Heritage Center has announced the completion of its roof replacement project. The Center reopened Tuesday, Aug. 9, and resumed its normal summer schedule of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.

-Anasazi Heritage Center Internship Program (Cortez): The 2005 internship program is underway at the U.S. Bureau of Land Management Anasazi Heritage Center/Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. The center offers year-round internships for university students and recent graduates to gain professional experience in museum work including exhibits, interpretation, education, and collections management.
