  • Brian Williams

Brian Williams joined Archaeology Southwest in January of this year as the Director of Operations.  Having never NOT lived in Oklahoma, Brian comes to Tucson from Tulsa, where he was most recently the Vice President of Business Administration for Tulsa Regional Tourism at the Tulsa Regional Chamber.

Brian’s decade of nonprofit administration experience and his passion for conservation and preservation are well aligned with Preservation Archaeology.  As an at-large citizen of the Cherokee Nation, Brian is passionate about Indigneous sovereignty and is proud of Archaeology Southwest’s intentional approach to incorporating and amplifying Indigenous voices.

As a lover of the outdoors and remote wilderness, Brian wasted no time exploring the Sonoran Desert.  When he’s not in the office, expect him to be camping on public land, riding his gravel bike, and supporting friends doing hard things (like running 100 miles!).  A lover of lists and details, he encourages you to hit him up if you want to discuss or debate tire volumes and pressures, refine a race nutrition plan, or recommend a great campsite or coffee shop he maybe hasn’t tried yet.
