Rock Art in Arizona (TR1994-6)

An overview of the more than 2,300 rock art sites in Arizona that attempts to identify all rock art styles found in the state. Recommendations are made to standardize style names, site forms, and rock art recording forms, as well as to establish a central repository for this data. Measures to protect rock art sites from vandalism and looting are addressed, and National Register of Historic Places eligibility issues are discussed in detail.
