Description

Fort Lowell Park contains cultural resources dating to the Prehistoric and Historic eras. Visible resources include fragments of Fort-era buildings and structures, some of which were incorporated into apartments built by the Bolsius family in the 1930s. Other Fort-era resources are hidden beneath the ground, as are many other historic and prehistoric features. All ground-disturbing activities within the Fort Lowell Park boundaries should be either monitored or mitigated through archaeological fieldwork guided by an approved treatment plan.
