Text excavations on lots 5 through 12 of historic Block 138 uncovered 51 features and hundreds of items dating from the occupation of the site. Research indicates that the block was home to several families with diverse ethnic backgrounds: Yaqui Indian, Mexican-American, and African American. This report provides a glimpse of their daily lives through a study of the archaeological materials they left behind.
