Description

Archaeological Data Recovery at the Rohrig Substation, Queen Creek, Arizona (TR2005-3) (PDF)

This project involved data recovery investigations at the site of the future Rohrig Substation in Queen Creek, Arizona. Archaeological testing had determined that cultural features associated with the National Register-eligible Southwest Germann site, AZ U:10:2 (ASM), were present in the parcel. Salt River Project sponsored the data recovery effort in voluntary compliance with Arizona statutes that protect and preserve historic cultural properties and in conformance with state laws that protect human remains and funerary objects found on privately owned lands in Arizona.
