The Indian Garden site is located in a spring fed meadow of the same name situated at the intersection of a first and second order tributary to Tonto Creek. The site has previously been determined eligible for inclusion in the National Register of Historic Places. No elements of the historic site lie within the area of potential effect for the SR260 project. The historical information contained in this report is intended to provide background contextual information about the site and project area.
