Andy Laurenzi, Southwest Field Representative

Andy Laurenzi, based in Tucson, AZ, is the Southwest Field Representative for Archaeology Southwest. In his current position, Andy manages Archaeology Southwest’s cultural resource protection efforts in Arizona and New Mexico. Andy’s position was established in partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation.  Andy’s prior experience includes five years with the Sonoran Institute, where he was the Land and Water Policy Program Director. Prior to this, Andy spent seventeen years with The Nature Conservancy of Arizona where he oversaw the Conservancy’s land and water protection and government relations activities. Andy is currently serving as vice-president on the board of the Arizona Native Plant Society.  Andy has a B.S. in Biology from Fairfield University and M.S. in Ecology from Arizona State University. He lives in Tucson with his wife and two children.
