Jeffrey S. Dean
Elected to the Board in 2010, Dr. Dean is Professor Emeritus in the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research at the University of Arizona. His research interests include dendroarchaeology, the archaeology of the southern Colorado Plateau, Navajo ethnoarchaeology, paleoenvironmental reconstruction, human-environment interaction, and agent-based modeling of human behavior. He has served as President of the Arizona Archaeological and Historical Society, Treasurer of the Tree-Ring Society, President of the Society for Archaeological Sciences, Treasurer of the Society for American Archaeology, and is a Fellow with the Arizona-Nevada Academy of Science and the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
