Benjamin Smith
Benjamin Smith has served on the board of Archaeology Southwest almost continually since its original incorporation in 1989 as The Center for Desert Archaeology. He holds a J.D. from the John Rogers College of Law at the University of Arizona and is active in the Volunteer Lawyers Program of Southern Arizona Legal Aid. He is a member of the board of the Planetary Science Institute, based in Tucson, and is Trustee Emeritus of the Museum of Northern Arizona.
Ben’s father introduced him as a young boy to the rich and fascinating world of Southwest archaeology and history, a strong connection that he continues to honor as a member of the board of directors of Archaeology Southwest.
