Stability, Connectivity and Conflict in the Salinas Province (High Quality)

In this “Tea and Archaeology” presentation, Dr. Spielmann shared insights into life on the eastern edge of the prehistoric Pueblo world, based on more than 20 years of research in the Salinas area of central New Mexico. She explored the unusually long-term stability of occupation in the Salinas area, the connections with Plains groups and with other Rio Grande Pueblos, as well as discussed new evidence of conflict in the Salinas area in the 14th century.
