Site Summary: Charleston and Millville were founded in 1879 to process ore taken from the silver mines around Tombstone, and boomed for less than 10 years. Little is left of either site today, but visitors can still see the stone embankments for the two mills and some of the remains of Charleston among the mesquite trees.
