This video was created in 2005 during excavations on the site of the Tucson Presidio.
The animation begins with a “spin” around modern Tucson, and then moves back in time to show the historic era Presidio, parts of which still exist under downtown Tucson. The animation continues to move further back in time to show the ancient Hohokam village, parts of which also exist underground in Tucson.
